Microsoft will no longer provide OTA support to its old version of Internet Explorer, Internet users only have five weeks to update to newer versions of Internet Explorer. In 2016, Microsoft will diminish its OTA system to provide any further updates and makes patches dry up if users do not update their browser. Microsoft previously warned its users by providing update warnings a couple of weeks ago. Now the company has again warned its users because only some of the users have cared about the update the rest still using the browser as usual without an update. January 21st is the dead-end support of providing any further security patches and other browsing vulnerability protection to its old version of IE.
Millions of Internet Explorer Users Are at Security Risk
Internet explorer survives with different types of phishing attacks also drive-by downloads which the latest version of the browser can handle to protect itself, Microsoft using different patches for each vulnerability of the Browser OTA update. And most interesting part is the maximum number of users below IE 10 using Windows 7 OS. In 2014, Microsoft said that Internet Explorer 11 will be the last version of aging browser. The first version of EX released two decades ago in 1995, But all in between there are many conflicts between the company as well as with its users facing security flaws and other issues with the Browser. And soon after the land of other competitive browsers in the open market makes tough competition for Microsoft beat them such as Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft fails to impress its users and decry the position for becoming dominant browser ever, but the company still having hope after launching its browser Edge in 2015. But don’t think that Microsoft is innocent and begins its customers to welcome IX, Microsoft is forcing its users to use Windows 10 which has only one browser and which is Edge and prevent another browser from rolling out in the system Windows 10, Microsoft even forcing other Windows users to update their browser to windows 10 which means Microsoft has a direct intention to make users use the browser Edge. Microsoft also said that soon they will allow pirated Windows users to upgrade Windows 10 as well but with paying half or less amount from the Windows 10 OS price tag.
