The HTC U11 was codenamed a few months ago as HTC Ocean. Now, the new HTC model would come with the codenamed HTC Ocean Master and would become the brand’s new flagship smartphone, which will be named as HTC U11 Plus. The first phone of the Taiwan brand that would come after the sale of its mobile division to the tech giant Google for $1.1 billion. Although a few days ago it was rumored that HTC planned three new phones, now we know more details than the HTC U11 Plus. A phone that went to the market betting on “squeeze” edges that sought to differentiate themselves from other models.
This would be the HTC U11 Plus
The new HTC U11 Plus will come with a borderless design, like most handsets introduced this year for the highest ranges. Its screen would be 5.99 inches (similar to what is expected for the Huawei Mate 10) and would have an 18:9 format as we have already seen in the LG V30, for example. It would be a Quad HD+ screen with a resolution of 2880×1440 pixels. Inside, the HTC U11 Plus will work with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and will come with a RAM that would come in two versions: 4GB or 6GB. The internal storage would also be available in two different versions with 64GB or 128GB of ROM. The mobile will have a camera with the same quality as its predecessor, with a sensor of 12 megapixels in the back and 8 megapixels on the front, as we know thanks to the rumors published so far. QuickCharge 3.0 will also have the fast load of Qualcomm, although at the moment we do not know exactly what its autonomy will be. In addition, it will be IP68 certified, making it a water and dust resistant smartphone. The HTC U11 Plus has quite similarities with the HTC U11, a phone that has had some success but less than expected by the brand. The Edge Sense function, which allows you to press the edges of the phone to access different functions, would be repeated in this new Plus model.
Introducing the HTC U11 Plus
HTC wants to focus its efforts on recovering the Chinese market and is expected to be present at a conference held on November 11 in China where the HTC U11 Life with Android One, for example, would also be unveiled. The phone is also expected to reach other countries in the West but at the moment we have to wait for the brand to tell more details about its first high-end phone after its agreement with Google.
